Position: Campaign Officer (Full-time, one vacancy)
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct strategic programmes advocating for human rights lawyers/ legal activists and the promotion of rule of law and human rights protection in mainland China. Duties will include
- Plan and coordinate local and international advocacy and campaigns;
- Liaise with local and international media and legal professionals to generate local support and international solidarity;
- Prepare bilingual (Chinese and English) materials such as press release, articles, and infographics etc. for use on social and mainstream media.
- Update and monitor social networking websites and applications such as Weibo, Facebook, Twitter and WeChat
Requirements:
- Tertiary education, preferably major in Social Sciences or Law;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
- Two years of working experience, that of NGOs’ preferred. Applicants with less working experience but with relevant voluntary work experience could be considered;
- Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese word processing 5. Knowledge and interest in using social media (Facebook, Twitter, Weibo, Google+, Skype, Google Analytics and Youtube etc.);
- Demonstrate commitment in human rights and a good team player;
- Independent, willing to work under pressure and with flexible time schedule;
- Knowledge of design and multimedia software to produce leaflets, infographics, social media images, video editing (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere);
Immediate availability is preferred.
